Nintendo fans are in for a treat as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has finally been officially announced for Nintendo’s new hybrid Switch console.

Todd Howard, director and executive producer at Bethesda Game Studios, broke the news during the Switch reveal event as he appeared in a video to discuss the new version of the studio’s critically acclaimed open-world role-playing game.

Here’s what Howard had to say;

“We love to make games and worlds for you to get lost in, that you can make your own, and never want to put down. Now you don’t have to–now you can play Skyrim wherever you want,” “What’s really exciting is that all of us at Bethesda can work with Nintendo … The Switch is classically Nintendo yet also all-new.”

Skyrim for Switch is yet to have a release date. It’ll be great to see Skyrim available on a another platform, especially one where you could adventure with your Dragonborn on the go. What do you guys think? Are you excited to return to Tamriel on the Switch? Let us know in the comments below.
