The Nintendo Switch has been a massive success . Not many could have predicted that the console would go on to achieve such great things in such a short period of time. The console is in such demand that even Developers like Shinji Mikami couldn’t purchase the Nintendo Switch and many retailing Giants having their shipments sold off like it was nothing.
According to Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime in an Interview with Mashable Initially Nintendo had made 2 Million copies of the console which were available on Launch which despite the fact that according to Analyst its demand would be much lower. “We actually sold through almost 2.8 million units, so we dramatically over delivered,” he added that “So what do some of the consumers on Reddit say? ‘Gosh, Nintendo, if you would’ve made more you would’ve sold more.” We’re certainly prepared and are ready to supply 10 Million Units this Fiscal Year.
Nintendo did say that it will Ramp up its Production and that it will try not to meet any shortages this holiday season but Film-Aime hasn’t affirmed that there might not be a possibility but adding that “Are we going to have enough for the holiday? That’s what we are focused on.”
With the New announcements for the Switch in Nintendo’s Direct Press Conference has created an all new hype for the console making it an altogether interesting year for the hybrid console . with a number of amazing software which is coming out for the Nintendo Switch , it will be interesting to see that how does the console move forth into 2018.
We have seen the Switch have a stellar 2017 , however there might be concerns that going into 2018 the console may not have the required punch to go on and capitalize on it’s Popularity. But maybe we are getting a bit ahead of ourselves, and perhaps Nintendo Switch has more hidden tricks in its bag for the near future.
