Amazon has once again directly brought us fresh details about the upcoming God Of War Digital Deluxe Edition. An updated listing of the premium edition of the game put forth it’s contents in all their glory.
The Digital Deluxe Edition of God of War is priced $10 above the regular edition, at $69.99 and as you may have figured offers bonus digital content. In addition to the base game, it’ll arrive with an art book and the games official soundtrack. Players who buy this edition of the game will also recieve a mysterious comic book issue as well as a dynamic PS4 theme.
You’ll also get three exclusive in-game items: The Death’s Vow armor set for Kratos and Atreus, and the Exile’s Guardian Shield skin.
During Sony’s E3 2017 press conference, they confirmed that the highly anticipated God of War would release next year, in 2018. The updated listing from Amazon suggests that this date could be June 30. This comes hand in hand with several other retailer’s listings, all of which point towards a summer release date. Nothing has been confirmed yet, so the release date is still open to speculation. But it is likely that Sony will announce the games release date this December during PSX (PlayStation Experience).
The new God of War is the fourth installment in the critically-acclaimed series. The games story is set right after the events of the first 3 games. Our protagonist, Kratos, has entered the realm of the Norse gods, sparking a brand new adventure and new beginnings for Kratos and his son.
The new beginning holds a lot of promise , and it will be interesting to see how the devs venture forth with the series from this point onwards.
