The devs behind Monster Hunter: World have stated the the game’s main story will be somewhere between 40 to 50 hours long!

Mein-MMO, a german magazine, had a chance to talk to the producer and the director of the game who said that it will take an average player around 40-50 hours to beat the campaign of the game plus a bit more time that will be invested into crafting and upgrading the weapons. Apart from that, the devs said that players can keep on playing as post-release content will be added as free updates which are sure to take away a few more hours spent in-game.

The time to beat the game is almost same for the rest of the games in the series. Below you will find How Long To Beat’s detailed time for completion of the other Monster Hunter games:

  • Monster Hunter Generations- Main Story: 59 hours ; Main Story + Extra: 96 1/2 hours
  • Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate – Main Story: 87 1/2 hours ; Main Story + Extra: 158 hours
  • Monster Hunter Tri – Main Story: 58 Hours; Main Story + Extra: 152 hours
  • Monster Hunter Freedom 2 – Main Story: 49 hours; Main Story + Extra: 69 1/2 hours

Capcom has promised that this entry will be much more story-driven than the rest and will have a more streamlined story that will make it much more enjoyable. There will be the chance for a unique playstyle for everyone.
