Sony announced at their yearly PlayStation Experience conference for 2017 that they are resurrecting MediEvil for the PS4 in 2018.
The game is being remastered for the PS4 (and in 4K for the Pro), it was a cult classic ever since it hit the original PlayStation. A teaser was shown off at the conference which didn’t confirm much about the details or the actual release (it’s coming sometime next year) but we’re sure to hear more as the year draws to a close.
MediEvil is an action-adventure that came out for the original PlayStation, the hack and slash combat was why it gained popularity along with the story that is set in the Medieval Kingdom of Gallowmere.
“Hot on the heels of this year’s smash hit Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, we’re making another PlayStation fan dream come true: a proper, PS4-grade resurrection of the original MediEvil just in time for the game’s 20th anniversary,”, this is what Shawn Layden said at the PSX conference about the announcement.
It’s great that we are getting another classic from a bygone era. For those of you who missed the presentation at PSX , you can watch the trailer by scrolling down below
