“Mortal Kombat” creator Ed Boon teased the details at the recent San Diego comic  con teasing fans of four new DC comics characters that will be added to the expanding roster of “Injustice 2” .Boon put up a poll on twitter asking fans which version of the Red Hood  they would like to see in the sequel.

The poll resulted in 81 percent of fans voting for Jason Todd to be added to the roster, while only 19 percent voted for The Joker. In the comics, Jason Todd took up the mantle of Red Hood after his resurrection. Ironically, Jason used the Red Hood name to gain vengeance on the Joker. Todd’s version of justice conflicts with that of Batman with the former willing to use guns and killing to deal with criminals going against the Dark Knights code.

On being asked by a fan, Injustice 2 Director Ed Boon revealed that there is a possibility that Static Shock and Terry McGinnis (Batman Beyond) could be a part of the sequel.Boon also made another character poll for fans as Starfire, John Constantine and Black Manta one of three characters for “Injustice 2”. 43 percent of the vote went to Starfire, 32 percent to John Constantine and 25 percent to Black Manta. Black Manta will feature in the Atlantis stage in “Injustice 2, While Constantine and Starfire have also been rumored. So far, the roster of “Injustice 2” includes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Supergirl, Blue Beetle, Gorilla Grodd and Atrocitus.

Boon further noted that there will be more of character revelation in the upcoming game. The original game included Scorpion from the Mortal Kombat franchise,as a guest fighter. NetherRealm Studios will likely plan to have another guest fighter in “Injustice 2” as well.

The plot of “Injustice 2” takes place after the first game as Batman attempts to rebuild the world following Superman’s One Earth Regime, while also preventing the Man of Steel’s loyalists in breaking him out of his Red Sun prison, unaware of an even greater threat looming.
