Norman Reedus

The first Hideo Kojima horror game was probably going to be P.T Silent Hills with Norman Reedus and Guillermo Del Toro. The project was different from all with respect to the design but somehow familiar to Resident Evil VII but unfortunately, the game got discarded.

Born in Tokyo, Hideo Kojima is a Japanese video game designer, screenwriter, director and producer who is known for his auteuristic approach towards video games; he is basically a genius in these times. Highly known for the Metal Gear Solid series, he is none other than the founder of Kojima Productions. Silent Hills is a cancelled psycho horror video game which was under development by Hideo’s production house.

The creator of Metal Gear Solid games is none other than Hideo Kojima and he has been searching ways to expand to other genres for a particularly long time. On the other hand, he remained occupied with MGS games so that when Silent Hills came about, Hideo Kojima was glad to have been on to something else. The annulment of Silent Hills was pretty saddening for the entire company as well as Hideo Kojima himself.

While speaking to IGN, here is what Kojima had to say:

I get scared very easily. Actually, this is true of Alfred Hitchcock as well as Steven Spielberg. Because they scare easily, because I scare easily, it’s actually easy for us to make something that is scary, because we understand what is scary. But while in that process, we’re constantly imagining, like, terrifying situations so it ends up giving me bad dreams. That’s the reason why I don’t want to make a horror game.”

Right now, Kojima-san is busy on PS4 and PS4 Pro version of Death Stranding. The game will feature Norman Reedus and Guillermo Del Toro. As per Kojima-san, Death Stranding will be launched before the arrival of 2019.
