God Of War is undoubtedly going to be one of the biggest exclusives of 2018. The game will see Kratos the God of War this time around taking down Norse Gods with the aid of his son Atreus who joins him in his brand new adventure.

Most recently Cory Barlog from SIE Santa Monica recently suggested that the franchise may explore other mythologies as well in the future. Egypt and the Mayan civilization were talked about as possibilities.
“The Greek games were the Greek era of God of War,” Barlog said in the . “Moving on, the next mythological belief system he interacts with became the Norse era of God of War. But we may end up going on to the Egyptian era and the Mayan era and so on and so forth.”
