The Legend Of Zelda : Breath Of The Wild is perhaps one of the most anticipated of Switch Launch titles so far , and if the trailer is anything to go by the game is certainly going to be breathtaking. So far not much is known about the game’s story apart from the fact that Link wakes up from a 100 year slumber. However we now know more courtesy of a very observant fan .
Last week during the Nintendo tree house event Nintendo Of America President Reggie Fils-Aime shared a map , which can be found in the game’s limited edition . The back of the map included a tapestry which was in the Hylian/Sheikah language. Here is what the text says
“Hylians pass stories of a destined time long past, where multiple races lived and worked together in harmony. The Sheikah Tribe’s blue aura breathed through the land, and this mutual prosperity continued, until a cataclysmic disaster struck. The hero and the princess attempted in vain to seal the terror, which became known as the Calamity Ganon. Divine Beasts awoke from four directions, and deployed a mechanical army which made the king and his people fearful. They fractured Ganon’s power and sealed him… But the Sheikah were banished from the land ever since.”

The discovery is credited to a fan who goes by the username of Zeltik , whose process included translating the Sheikah language first into Japanese and then English.

In addition, you can watch the following video from YouTube user Zeltik as he goes into the transcribing process which involved first translating the Sheikah language into Japanese and then into English. The video talks about a detailed process of how the process was initiated, and the attention to detail that went into transcribing this thing is phenomenal to say the very least, with Zeltik claiming only a 4% margin of error.

The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of The Wild will be releasing on March 3rd for the WiiU and the Switch.
