The internet almost broke after the launch of the trailer of Hideo Kojima’s upcoming Death Stranding at The Game Awards 2016 held recently. After this launch, die-hard fans haven’t halted discussing about it and have been speculating about the game as well.
Both the trailers have one similarity and that is the male characters however, Hideo Kojima himself affirmed during the Playstation Experience panel held currently that Death Stranding will most likely feature female characters. But no other specifications were given with respect to the female character.
However a bell might ring in your head when you read the name Stefanie Joosten who played the character of Quiet in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. As mentioned earlier, Kojima will have a female character for the game. Therefore, there is a reason to believe that this role will be played by Stefanie Joosten.
During the panel of PlayStation Experience, Kojima confirmed that there will be a collaboration between Guerilla Games and Kojima Productions for the respective game. Death Stranding is to use the same game engine i.e. DECIMA as the Horizon Zero Dawn.
There is a satellite studio of Kojima Productions in the headquarters of Guerilla Games in Amsterdam which has recently been visited by Stefani Joosten as per her Twitter account. This is probably not just a coincidence, or is it?
It is probable that she visited the studio for motion capture sessions for games or perhaps Kojima called her in to consider her for the particular role in Death Stranding. Conversely, this is just a speculation and has not been confirmed by Kojima himself.
A release date has not been announced for Death Stranding however, Kojima gave us a slight hint that it is likely to release in 2018 for PS4.
