Death Stranding is perhaps one of the most anticipated titles of the near future, and details about it have been few and far in between. Recently Hideo Kojima took to Twitter after testing the games Decima Engine.

Hideo Kojima, the man that is famous in the industry for providing the legendary series that is Metal Gear, is now working on his next piece of art that is Death Stranding. Kojima is working with Sony on the Decima Engine that will be used in Death Stranding and he has reported recently that it is working well.

Kojima tweeted that he can finally have a good night’s sleep after he tested the Decima Engine and was satisfied with the results. According to Kojima, the tests were of high importance to him as is likely with the post on his social media.

There isn’t much to go on with Death Stranding but we are sure to know more about it soon as the year progresses. More information might be revealed at SIGGRAPH as both Kojima and Guerilla Games are going to be there, as confirmed from Kojima Productions’ twitter account.

Guerilla Games and Kojima are working together on developing Death Stranding, a different version of the Decima Engine was used previously to create Horizon: Zero Dawn.

The collaboration [with Guerilla Games] started later…. The teaser we showed at E3 was in a different engine. Guerrilla Games had the right engine. Their engine is well suited to the tools and systems of an open-world game. This was a very important aspect for us.

Death Stranding is coming to the PS4 exclusively (and the Pro) sometime during 2019 and we can’t wait for more teaser and info about the game. Kojima confirmed that the release date will be before the release of Akira and he has a full two years to slowly make more info about the game available to us.
