Marvel Studios just released an extended look into the much awaited Marvel film, Doctor Strange. It features exciting new footage, as well as interviews with the movie’s cast and crew. Check out the full video here.
Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will progress with the release of the much awaited Doctor Strange, which is Marvel’s upcoming superhero movie. It revolves around the Marvel Comic’s character of the same name as the Sorcerer Supreme. Fans will be introduced to the magical and mystical realms of the franchise for the first time, as they dive headfirst into the array of dimensions and realities explored by the film. Although, Doctor Strange is yet another Marvel origin story, it differs drastically from it’s predecessors in the franchise.
The film revolves around the story of Stephen Strange – one of the world’s finest neurosurgeon. His career gets ruined by a tragic car accident after which he sets out on a journey of healing. He comes across The Ancient One, who later becomes Strange’s teacher of the mystic arts. Strange decides to put his ego at bay and unravel the secrets of the hidden mystic world and the alternate dimensions. Based in New York’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and the madness that lies beyond, using his arsenal comprising of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to unveil the mysteries and protect the universe consequently.
Produced by Marvel Studios the film stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, and Benedict Wong as Wong. Strange’s mentor The Ancient One is acted out by Tilda Swinton while Mads Mikkelsen plays the villain ‘Kaecilius’. It is directed by Scott Derrikson, while the script is written by John Spaihts and C. Robert Cargill. The duration of the movie is yet to be announced officially, though rumors have been circulating rampantly that the run time would be around 130 minutes.
