At the San Diego Comic Con, Preacher had put on quite a show. Its cast and crew serenaded the stage to the typical tune from New Orleans, “When The Saints Go Marching In”. After which the cast sat down to answer a few questions and deliver an insight as to what we can expect from the show.
At the Comic Con, the trailer for Preacher Season 2 was showcased for the fans and in it, they all saw Herr Starr in a speaking role. In the trailer, there was further clarification given for Eugene and his newbie mate Hitler and their prospect escape from Hell; the explosives meeting amongst Jesse and the Saint of Killers along with the unavoidable complications on their journey to discover God. Since it has been found out the imitating God from the angel phone was just an actor, but for now it seems that the series might have put the search for God in the backseat as the narrative on the core characters expand.
During the discussion of the remnant of S2 for Preacher at Comic Con with TVLine, the cast of the series unveiled that watchers are going to meet God by the end of the season. To their enticement, Joseph Gilgun, Graham McTavish, Dominic Cooper and Ruth Negga ended up exhilaratingly speaking with each other in a teasing manner about many action-packed sequences that are yet to come. Here’s what Cooper said:
“Something so dramatically important happens at the end [of season 2], that it reveals the whole reason behind everything.”
The season currently is roughly following the story line set out in the comics, and it will be interesting to see how they further develop the cliffhanger.
