A new rumor has been circulating regarding ‘The Flash’ Season 3 that involves Earth two’s Harrison Wells’ daughter Jesse. The character, played by actress Violett Beane is reportedly set to take up the mantle of Jesse Quick from the comics as she returns next season.
Violett Beane recently confirmed that the she would be returning to Season 3, “I know I’ll be back, but I don’t know if it’s with or without powers.” the actress stated in an interview with TV Line. Fans of the show will remember Jesse Wells and Wally West being hit by the particle accelerator, and Jesse entering into a coma. With the Kid Flash already confirmed for next season, we could see a likely duo of two speedsters with Jesse recovering and teaming up with Wally. With the ‘Flashpoint’ event happening, Central City could see itself getting two new heroes with the ‘Scarlet Speedster’ Barry Allen likely to lose his powers.
Beane acted out her role phenomenally, adding a new dynamics to the show’s second season. Although it’s only speculation for now, comic book fans would be ecstatic to see another beloved speedster on the show. The actress herself is said to be very excited to play a speedster, she was quoted saying, “……, I’m very excited [to play a speedster], and would love for it to happen early next season. … .., She could be Earth-One Jesse, she could be a speedster… Who knows!”
It’s unclear whether Earth 2’s Jesse or perhaps Earth 1’s Jesse becomes the new speedster, or if she becomes a speedster at all.
