Daniel Radcliffe Wants To Be On Game Of Thrones

Game Of Thrones

Daniel Radcliffe is a name that many of us will be familiar with. He starred as the wizard Harry Potter in one of the biggest movie franchises in history. It now seems that the boy who lived apparently wants to die. Daniel Radcliffe seems to be extremely interested in joining the cast of Game of Thrones (But then again, who isn’t?) even if it is in a minor role.

“I would love to. If they want to just bring me in and f-ing kill me, I would be so happy to do that.”

The casting for Season 7 of HBO’s fantasy series has already begun, although only Jim Broadbent has been confirmed so far after the rumors surrounding Angela Lansbury proved to be false. Radcliffe would certainly add a bit of stardust to an already popular show. It is pretty obvious that the showrunners are supposed to find the perfect actor for a role and not vice versa but it wouldn’t be too far-fetched for David Benioff and D.B. Weiss to figure out a role for Radcliffe. Also despite Radcliffe’s high profile, casting him for a long term role wouldn’t be a compulsion as he could make a minor cameo like other high profile actors such as Ian Mcshane and Max Von Snydow, so getting Radcliffe in for a scene just to kill him off would be pretty entertaining.

While Radcliffe’s Harry Potter co-star Rupert Grint is set to begin his venture in the TV world, It is unlikely that we will see Radcliffe join any long-term TV series.

I’ve recently read a couple of really good TV pilot scripts. But then it’s signing on for seven years. . . . Right now, I have a little bit of freedom. So if I read a script for something that’s filming next year, I don’t have to turn it down because I’m not available – which I did, for a long time.
Radcliffe’s reluctance to commit to another long term project is understandable as it would deny him any flexibility. So although we might be able to see him in some limited series or cameo appearances it is more likely he will just stick to feature films.
