The PS4 will not be seeing Mods for Bethesda’s Fallout 4 as well as for the upcoming Skyrim remastered anytime soon. Sony and Bethesda have failed to reach common ground as the console maker are apparently refusing to compromise on what they do and do not allow on their platform. Meanwhile Bethesda are similarly refusing to compromise on their vision for mods. The stalemate between the two means that currently the PlayStation is the only platform that does not accommodate modding for Bethesda’s games, much to the disappointment of fans.
However there maybe some good news as Bethesda claim they are looking for a solution to the issue. Pete Hines, the vice president of Bethesda Softworks has in the past stated that Bethesda might be looking to do whatever they can to bring mods to the platform. Now recently with a tweet , Hines reaffirmed that the company is seeking to provide ‘alternatives’ for PlayStation gamers, promising that Bethesda is trying to do the ‘most possible’ for PS4 players.
I assure you we don't lack for alternatives. We are trying to do the most possible for PS4 players

Only time will tell whether these are hollow promises, or an actual effort on the part of Bethesda. Nevertheless Hines statement provides a glimmer of hope for fans praying for a favorable outcome to this issue. What do you guys think? Would you like to see modding for Bethesda games come to the PS4? Let us know in the comments.
