Nintendo has had a very strong presence in Japan and undoubtedly the Japanese have made sure that one of their own company succeeds day in and day out.
This week was much of the same with many the Nintendo Switch and Super Mario Odyssey remaining on top in the hardware and software charts. However what was surprising was new entries such as NFS Payback and Sonic Forces doing rather poorly. The Japanese still think of the Xbox brand as an afterthought as the Xbox One X continues to flounder in the land of the rising sun.
Historically Japan has been a stronghold for both Sony and Nintendo , but perhaps the Nintendo Switch is the hottest item in the Japanese gaming Industry as it has been selling like hot cakes.
The Nintendo Switch is a great hybrid console and it has been a smashing success not only in Japan , but the rest of the world as well.
