It looks like Naught Dog’s The Last Of Us 2 will be heading along our way along with Sucker Punch’s new IP Ghosts of Tsushima in the year 2018.
This information comes via a post on the official PlayStation Sweden . Which reads something like this
“Marvel’s Spider-Man, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, Blood and Truth, Frantics, Days Gone, The Last of Us Part II och mer.
Det här kommer att bli ett otroligt PlayStation-år”
Which roughly translated means
“Marvel’s Spider-Man, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, Blood and Truth, Frantics, Days Gone, The Last of Us Part II and more.
This is going to be an incredible playstation year”
Here is a screenshot of the said post which is at the time of writing still active.
Although the post does come from the account , it is recommended that this piece of news is still treated as a rumor. We have seen in the past that company’s post information on their social media page by mistake and that might be the same case here.
Furthermore the post does not explicitly say that these games are going to be released this year and the post itself is highly suggestive , and hence till there isn’t an official announcement from Sony the news should be taken as a rumor.
In all honesty I will be a bit surprised if the game does come out in 2018 , a 2019 release date would make more sense as it would allow Naughty Dog to take its own time to create a narrative which is at par or even better with the one in the original game, and that is something each and every fan of the series wants to see.
