We take a look at Stranger Things 2 and how its being lauded on all social media platforms
Stranger Things 2 has built upon it’s previous season and has gone on to achieve critical acclaim from fans and critics alike. The first season of the show was a road down the memory lane as it depicted acting and references from the 1980’s. In the fast paced world with rapid innovation, its often hard to remember past moments. But Stranger things artistically managed to articulate this nostalgic trip. Not only the people from the 1980’s appreciated the show but the newer generation also got to know the old traditional look that came with the show.
After the success of Stranger Things, Netflix decided to hurry up with the second season. Netflix decided to move the launch from Summer to October. October would fit well for Netflix’s Stranger Things 2 as it would coincide with the Halloween festival. Fans will thus resonate the show better in the Halloween season.
Netflix’s second season has made quite a mark with the fans. As reported by the Variety, the show has become the most tweeted show on Twitter. The show in the first three days after the launch managed to gain 3.7 million tweets. Some of the most Tweeted characters were Hopper, Steve, Eleven, Dustin and Will.
The creators will be extremely happy with the show’s performance. The first season clearly managed to create a huge fan following. Now the main challenge is to sustain this base. It is often that the first few TV shows are quite good. But after tasting success, TV shows just launch shows for the sake of it and ignore the quality. We will have to see how Stranger Things directors will sustain this advantage in Season 3 and how the franchise evolves over time in the future.
