SNES Classic Edition Announced For Release On 29th September

In a press release today Nintendo announced the SNES Classic Edition, which will be coming out with 21 games on 29th September 2017.The games will come pre-installed and the console will be available for $79.99 at retail.

Here is what Doug Bowser Nintendo Of America’s VP of Sales and Marketing had to say:

“While many people from around the world consider the Super NES to be one of the greatest video game systems ever made, many of our younger fans never had a chance to play it,”

“With the Super NES Classic Edition, new fans will be introduced to some of the best Nintendo games of all time, while longtime fans can relive some of their favorite retro classics with family and friends”

it will also include the sequel to Star Fox , titled Star Fox 2 which was created for the console but never ever saw a release. Here is the full list of games that will be included in the console.

  • Final Fantasy III
  • F-ZERO
  • Kirby Super Star
  • Kirby’s Dream Course

  • Star Fox
  • Star Fox 2
  • Street Fighter® II Turbo: Hyper Fighting
  • Super Castlevania IV
  • Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts®
  • Super Mario Kart
  • Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
  • Super Mario World
  • Super Metroid
  • Super Punch-Out!!
  • Yoshi’s Island

The console and games will work perfectly for modern high resolution TV’s and the box along with the console includes one HDMI cable , two wired Super NES Classic controller and a USB cable along with a charging adapter.
