Red Dead Redemption 2 got a brand new trailer which confirmed that the game will be set in a prequel setting.
The new trailer gives out some details to the story and the characters that are going to be a part of it. Check out the trailer down below.
With the newest trailer we get a look at our new gritty protagonist Arthur Morgan and he seems to be more violent and gory than the original’s John Marston.
We get to see the great west in all of its glory and for one thing we are now completely sure that Red Dead Redemption 2 is indeed a prequel. With that we get to see some very nostalgic faces and characters which were part of the original game as well.
To begin the nostalgia we see a very familiar face in Dutch van der Linde, the leader of John Marston’s former gang and one of the men on Marston’s kill list . It is yet unknown how the vents in red Dead Redemption 2 will tie in to Marston’s story but we will undoubtedly find that out in due time.
From the trailer it seems we can expect some very neat combat feats from the game like Epic fights on top of trains , a bank heist and even the use of a bow and arrow which is perhaps the result of a plethora of fans that wanted to see the weapon implemented in a Red Dead game.
Overall the games trailer does seem promising and it will be interesting to see how the story unfolds and ties in with the original when RDR 2 is released somewhere around 2018.
