Orginal Xbox Games Now Available Via Backwards Compatibility

One of the biggest announcements that Phil Spencer made during Xbox’s E3 2017 presentation was the availability of original Xbox games as backwards compatible titles. The announcement was met with rapturous applause from the audience, and since then Xbox fans have been waiting to get their hands on some of the most critically acclaimed titles

Since then there has been no official word from Microsoft. It seems that the feature is ready to launch and original Xbox games will now be available as backwards compatibility titles this week

The feature was confirmed when a Twitter user @h0x0d leaked an image allegedly confirming 12 titles which were to become available through backward compatibility which were also appearing on Xbox’s demand section on the Xbox MarketPlace.

The list is as follows of 13 titles which will be available this week.

  • Bloodrayne 2
  • Crimson Skies
  • Dead to Rights
  • Fuzion Frenzy
  • Grabbed by the Ghoulies
  • Neowave: The King of Fighters
  • Ninja Gaiden Black
  • Pirates!
  • Prince of Persia
  • Psychonauts
  • Red Faction II
  • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

The games are available digitally on Xbox Marketplace but won’t be playable till Oct. 24 it was also promised by Microsoft that the games original disc will also be compatible with the console.
