FIFA 17 releases on September 29 , but if you’re eager for a sneak peak you won’t have to wait that long to try it out. Lead producer Garreth Reeder has revealed that a demo is set to release on Tuesday, September 13.

It still unclear about what the demo’s content consists of neither have the platforms it will be available been disclosed, but we’ll keep you updated as more information is revealed.

EA recently sent shockwaves through the footballing fandom after it revealed FIFA 17’s highest-rated players by bumping Argentinean magician Lionel Messi down to the number two spot in favour of Real Madrid’s Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. Messi has also been replaced on the game’s cover after four years in a row making way for Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus.

FIFA 17 features a new story mode that unfortunately won’t be included  in versions for Xbox 360 or PS3. The story’s protagonist will be a player by the name of Alex Hunter, who will make his way up the English Premier League.

The only other way players can enjoy FIFA 17 early is by joining EA Access on Xbox One or Origin Access on PC. It will allow you to play the game several days before it’s officially released. Unfortunately though Sony has never allowed EA to do a version of EA Access on PlayStation 4,so this option is not available to PlayStation gamers.

In the meantime if you’re looking for some action the demo for Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 is already available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and is already being marked as an improvement on last year’s game – which many players preferred to FIFA 16.
