Ever since Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding was first announced, there was a shroud of mystery around it even after a couple of trailers. Being a Kojima game, it is likely that the development period of the game would’ve been long but since we have actually gotten zero gameplay reveals as of yet, it has left many people questioning whether there have been problems in development.
However it seems that the game is coming along just fine. Recently Kojima talked about how the game is progressing so far and what we can expect from it in the future.
Kojima reassured fans, while talking to Dengeki, that the development is indeed going smoothly and he acknowledged the fact that there hasn’t been much about the game to go around. He said that the development is progressing very well and that the game has left the experimentation phase, gameplay is now being tested.
“Ever since December 2016 we had not published new information, and there ought to be many fans who were getting worried or even imagining many things, but please rest assured,… Currently, we have surpassed the experiment phase, and by entering the next step, we’re feeling the response to the new gameplay.”
This will definitely clear up a lot of doubts and queries people have about the game, and we might even get to see some gameplay this year. We’re pretty sure that the game isn’t coming out before 2019 but there is no official confirmation on that yet so it remains a mystery. However we do know one thing for certain that Death Stranding is going to be a revolutionary and groundbreaking game when it does finally release in the near future.
