Death Stranding most recently made it’s way to “The Game Awards” that were held in Paris this month, with a trailer that left us with more questions than we had before. This wasn’t anything new though, Hideo Kojima has been known to play games with his audience (as he did so famously with the Metal Gear series). He recently told Dengeki PlayStation that he got word from Sony about the game’s development, and that they like what they see.
To celebrate that the new project stays on-par in development, Kojima has said that he will make “an announcement that will further surprise everyone in 2018.” Sony said that the speed of the development of the game is impeccable and that it is really looking impressive at this point.
“We have never before seen a game being created at such a fast pace,”
As of yet, we have no such new regarding what the “surprise” is going to be but knowing Kojima it is definitely going to live up to the level of hype it will create. It has also been revealed that the trailer that was shown off at The Game Awards 2017 was running on a PlayStation Pro, which says a lot about the optimization of the game.
Death Stranding is the newest project for Hideo Kojima after the Metal Gear series and it is coming exclusively for the PlayStation 4. It is set in a post-apocalyptic world where we will get to see Norman Reedus as the protagonist and Mads Mikkelsen as the antagonist.
Death Stranding is going to be one of the most unique takes on a video game and it is sure to be a revolutionary take in-game storytelling.
