There were a number of rumors going around that Dark Souls Remastered would be headed our way in the near future. Now it is finally a certainty as it was confirmed in Nintendo Direct 2018 that Dark Souls Remastered will indeed be heading to the Nintendo Switch in the near future.
However if you don’t yet have a Nintendo Switch or have yet to play Dark Souls, don’t worry. The title is also headed for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC as well. You can watch the announcement trailer below by clicking on the video.
The Nintendo Switch had an incredible 2018, and this is another instance where Nintendo has done really well to bring a well renowned third party franchise to the hybrid console. Most people including myself were worried about the software lineup for the Nintendo Switch come 2018, but it seems that Nintendo knows what it’s doing and will do its level best to ensure that the Switch is stacked with a number of exclusives and 3rd party titles to keep Switch owners entertained for the entire year.
It is also rumored that Rockstar Games are looking to bring two well renowned titles in GTA V and Red Dead Redemption to the Nintendo Switch. Most recently Rockstar Games’s LA Noire also made its way to the Nintendo Switch and there might be some truth to the rumor , however at this point nothing has been announced by either Rockstar or Nintendo.
With a number of third party publishers such as Bethesda interested in the Switch it is likely that various new titles are indeed going to be ported for the console and it wont suffer the same fate as it’s predecessor the Wii U , which was by and large ignored by 3rd party devs and publishers alike.
It looks like Nintendo Switch will have another stellar year. Will you be buying Dark Souls Remastered for Nintendo Switch? Let us know by commenting in the comments section below.
