Seems Like EA can do nothing right at the moment . The publisher has received massive backlash from the fans and the gaming community for the loot boxes fiasco in Star Wars Battlefront II.
You know things are bad when devs and other prominent figures in the industry are taking the time out to roast you and petitions are going around for Disney to cancel the franchise rights that EA has had for the last 4 Years or so.
Most recently another developer has taken the time out to take shots at EA and their infamous “sense of Pride and achievement quote” which has since gone on to become the most downvoted comment in Reddit’s history. The quote reads as follows
“The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking different heroes. As for cost, we selected initial values based upon data from the Open Beta and other adjustments made to milestone rewards before launch. Among other things, we’re looking at average per-player credit earn rates on a daily basis, and we’ll be making constant adjustments to ensure that players have challenges that are compelling, rewarding, and of course attainable via gameplay.
We appreciate the candid feedback, and the passion the community has put forth around the current topics here on Reddit, our forums and across numerous social media outlets.
Our team will continue to make changes and monitor community feedback and update everyone as soon and as often as we can.”
To which the folks at Battlerite reacted hilariously with the games latest update which adds a pose which clearly references the above statement.
“The Dab of Pride and Accomplishment – New Legendary Pose available for Croak. Can be unlocked for 20,000 Tokens.
“The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking this item.”
This item can only be purchased with tokens and will not drop in chests.”
Seems like EA and Battlefront II is the company that everyone loves to hate at the moment. Well played Battlerite devs well played!!
